Welcome:
Eva Takacs was born and raised in Hungary. She started to draw at an early age,
and received private lessons. She continued her training in college before
moving to the United States. She won a three-year scholarship to the Minneapolis
Art Instruction School sponsored by Life Magazine. As a student she won multiple
awards and her paintings were published in Illustration Magazine.
After graduating she worked in a Villa Italia
Joslins,
Dept. store as a visual merchandise manager. Her in-store designs earned
her several awards. During this time Eva also freelanced as a designer and
artist for theatrical backdrops and Creative Rentals illustrations for the Siberian Husky
Magazine (her other passion)
In retirement
she has worked primarily in portraiture and has had her works published in the
Encyclopedia of Living Artist. Her specialty is portraits of people with their
pets, especially horses and dogs.
